Source: NYTimes "North Korea Sends Its Leader’s Chosen Pop Band to Beijing" 2015South Korea has spread K-Pop around the world, groups like Girls Generation gaining world wide success. Yet one part of the world no one expected to adopt K-Pop was North Korea. The Moranbong Band is North Korea's censored, orchestral pop-rock-fusion girl band. Twenty young women play their own instruments, sing with praise for the Supreme Leader, and have have concerts showcasing breathtaking visuals of rocket launches striking the U.S. in the background as they smile in militaristic mini skirts and heels. Some of their songs include: "Let's Support Our Supreme Commander with Arms" and "Without a Break." They’re propaganda held together by tight skirts and stockings. It's no wonder that they're Kim Jong-un's favorite band.
